Using your feedback, our Product Team took the best-selling Obsidian Merino Pants and reformed them into a new piece of gear built for harsher conditions. Employing the Obsidian's midweight ripstop merino as a baseline fabric, we've implemented stretch nylon in high abrasion areas. Doing so creates a hybrid pant that balances a hunter's demands for odor-resistance and silent movement through tough country. Complete with upgraded hardware like closed crown zippers and paracord toggles, the Obsidian Foundry Pant is built to go farther and stay longer. See for yourself below.

Ripstop Merino Panels

Our ripstop merino fabric provides silent, shine, and scent-free performance for extended hunts. It wicks moisture quickly and has excellent thermoregulation properties.

Durable Stretch Nylon

Durable stretch nylon (the same fabric used in our Corrugate Guide Pants) has been implemented in high-wear areas to prevent punctures, rips, and blowouts.

Double Sided Cargo Pockets

The Obsidian Foundry's cargo pockets feature a double pocket storage system with an easy-entry area on the back and a closed crown zippered top pocket for comfortable security.

Rigid Waistband & Numeric Sizing

Our rigid waistband provides structure and prevents sagging when your pants become soaked or loaded with gear. The numeric sizing lets you dial in your fit to your favorite pair of jeans.

As you prepare for early season sits in a tree stand, hunting the Elk Rut in September, or getting out for Mule Deer in the waning warmth of October, you can rest assured First Lite has your pants covered. The new Obsidian Foundry pant continues to incorporate field-tested and approved ripstop merino into the outerwear's main body to better regulate temperature, remain silent when moving, and resist the build-up of odor-creating bacteria. Key friction zones through the Seat, Crotch Gusset, and Lower Leg have been constructed with durable stretch nylon to provide snag and tear resistance where it is needed most and offer moisture protection through DWR treatment. To top them off, the Obsidian Foundry pants feature and include a new suspender system with reduced hardware and friction points for hunters who pack out heavy.

This pant uses a rigid waistband with no stretch. If your waist falls close to or directly between sizes, select the next size up.
