The cast-and-blast adventurer needs a tool for precision cutting when working on smaller animals. Upland game, waterfowl, and small species fishing require a scalpel-like fixed blade that works for breasting out game birds or gutting trout. The 15700 Flyway™ is the tool for the upland job because there is no excessive amount of blade for game bird processing and this knife is easy to throw into a pack for river or stream trips. A unique blade shape made of CPM-154 steel with SelectEdge® application, an orange G10 handle boasting dialed-in ergonomics and the dual-colored Boltaron sheath make this a tool one that you won't want to leave behind.

Every Benchmade purchase comes with a lifetime warranty and Lifesharp service, which guarantees Benchmade will re-sharpen your knife to a factory edge for free. Visit Benchmade’s Lifesharp page for more details and instructions on how to send in your knife.

A very capable small blade.

It's a purpose built knife by Benchmade. Key for me with this knife is a handle that is big and full enough for my hand to get a good grip. With that, I can make the blade do what I need it to do. One reviewer used this little jewel to completely dress and field process a full sized elk. Most of us only need a sharp 2 inches of blade and a properly fit set of scales to get just about anything done in the sporting field. The Flyway is on top of my favorites list of Benchmades for a small blade, the Tagggedout for just about the best folding hunter knife I've ever clipped into my pocket when leaving camp, and the S90V Saddle Mountain Skinner is the most comfortable and functional large blade you could ever wish for. This super lightweight trifecta of hunting blades will be in my pack or pocket every hunting season.

Very high quality!

Much smaller than I expected but after looking at it for a bit. I am thinking this may be go to knife in the field for most all my hunting! Small and very functional!

Scalpel-Like Knife Perfect for Birds

If you pluck the breast and legs on a duck, you can use this knife to take one wing, both breasts connected by skin all together. Great solution for legal waterfowl transport.
