Each Beta Pro call is hand tuned to emulate a mature middle age class deer. The custom bellows tube isn't some cookie cutter component, rather a hand selected tube through extensive audio research and development offering the ability to articulate many nuance tones.
This call represents top tier quality through components and manufacturing. Inspired by the waterfowl industry, we built this call from machined acrylic, including the internals. Every meticulously machined component is assembled in Washington state at the Phelps headquarters. We work with American manufacturing companies to allow for quick reaction time, fine tuning every aspect of our deer calls. From the Barrel to the Tone Board, and even the Mylar reed, every nuance is accounted for. Speaking of the reed, we install a specialized rivet into the reed to create momentum, preventing the reed from locking up from condensation.
The outcome from this level of attention to detail? Superb, and unsurpassed buck grunt vocalizations that are so buttery smooth, bucks of all ages will be enticed to come in and take a look.

I have 13 grunt tubes so that is quite a feat . but I ordered the beta hoping it would produce a slightly more average mature deer and not just the alpha to trophy sized sound. it came in today and I am speechless so I guess it's good thing I'm typing this .this call is on its own league when replicating the grunts whether tending or challenge short or long doesn't matter it is number one by a long short excellent work Phelps it's makes me happy to pay the extra for a superior American made call!

I took a leap and ordered it, and know feel it's my obligation to help let the world know what Phelps has done here with this tube. I am fairly certain at this point in my hunting career I've owned just about every grunt call produced at one time or another. From antique garage sale finds and box store junk to big industry endorsed names and hand turned custom calls. There's nothing out there that compares to this call. The craftsmanship, fit, and finish aside (which are excellent) the sound and tone of this call are second to none and as realistic as it gets. Buy with confidence, this is the only grunt call you'll ever need.

This grunt call did not disappoint, the craftsmanship is second to none and the sound is phenomenal! There is no comparison, this is the highest quality grunt call out there. The call is very durable and sturdy in hand. I cannot wait to hit the Michigan woods in a couple weeks with this call and hopefully harvest a mature buck.
