Built by First Lite in collaboration with Clay Newcomb, the Bear Grease Bib is a fully featured work bib designed for the needs of country living like Clay's in northwest Arkansas. Constructed with durable, stretch duck cotton, tough nylon brush chaps on the thighs and lower legs, hip vents for releasing heat, and a thoughtful pocket configuration, these bibs hold all the tools of the trade for breaking mules or felling trees on the Back 40. The drop-in kangaroo chest pocket has a built-in divider for handwarmers on cold days, and the lower leg zippers allow for easy access to your boots to start and end your day in the mudroom. More than just an ordinary work bib, the Bear Grease Bib blends the features of your favorite First Lite hunting pant into the perfect workhorse for the demands of a life lived outdoors.

Clay Newcomb

Clay Newcomb is an American outdoorsman, storyteller, and host of the Bear Grease Podcast. A 5th-generation Arkansan, Newcomb is an avid hunter, conservationist, and writer whose work explores the cultural and historical roots of hunting, rural life, and the American outdoors. He is passionate about conservation and hunting as a way to provide organic, ethically harvested game for his family. Before joining MeatEater, he published Bear Hunting Magazine and produced video documentaries on bowhunting and wildlife conservation.

Brent Reaves

Brent's a lifelong outdoorsman who's family roots go back over 150 years in the river bottoms of rural Arkansas. Brent is a career law enforcement officer, former waterfowl guide for over 25 years around Stuttgart, Arkansas, and the proud parent to three children, and grandparent to three grandchildren. Favorite pursuits: Coon hunting with hounds, turkey hunting, archery whitetail, and all kinds of fishing – fly fishing to trotlining. Known for: Host of This Country Life podcast, Bear Grease contributor, and his deep, velvety voice

Bear Newcomb

Bear Newcomb is an 8th generation Arkansan born and raised in the Ozark mountains. Bear is an avid hunter, fisherman and bowyer. Bear graduated high school in 2024 and is currently working towards an environmental science degree.
