Well, that is kinda ridiculous. But to answer the question of why is the left handed model 1000$ more: the left handed model is a different gun. The meateater rifle advertised for 800$ is the weatherby vanguard. The one you're looking at in lefthanded is the mark V. I think is stupid they don't offer the vanguard in left handed. Hell Steven rinella shoots left handed and the the promo pic, he's holding a left handed rifle.

I paired this rifle with a Vortex Razor hd lht and it is the bee’s knees. It is almost to good and, for me, calls into question fair chase. Can’t say enough good things about this firearm
I've own and hunted with a 300 Weatherby mag. It's a high powered rifle that will take down any Game meat. Nothing will compare too a Weatherby Rifle. Tell Steve come to the Great State Of Tennessee and hunt. I want to see how he does with Tennessee game meat? I love the show just want to see him suffer little more Lol on a different land with mountains and ton of brush tree's.
