I took this knife on my Newfoundland moose hunt this fall. It holds a great edge! I skinned both my bull and a buddy's bull the same afternoon. After that, I caped them and skinned them off the head for shoulder mounts (I am a taxidermist). I only had to touch the blade up a handful of times during the entire process. The knife has a great feel in the hand and the blade length is ideal for skinning, unlike some of the monster blades folks tend to wield. The tip of the knife is precise enough to ensure all parts needed for a quality mount were left on the hide and not the skull. Highly recommend this knife to anyone looking for an all-in-one hunting knife.

Just Right

The size is perfect and the orange handle makes it harder to lose during a gut job. I’ve been using replacement blades for years but wanted something I could keep clean easier and with the bench made quality, I know durability and edge retention won’t be a problem.
